Getting excited!!!

Well, countdown to this Sunday when the trip takes off. I am so excited to see old friends and make new ones, and to see my sponsored children. I am very grateful to have such generous people in my life - my co-workers at the Washington Post Company have almost filled my office with soap and washcloth donations for the street children in Kigali - THANK YOU!!! Combined, employees at the Post sponsor 25 children at Sonrise school so my spare suitcase is filled with gifts too. Plus, my mom, Aunt Betty and cousin Millie have given lots of soap/washcloths too so I am set!

Preparations are underway for our trip. We are busy collecting wedding dresses, clothes for

teenagers and medicines to have on hand and to leave in Rwanda. If you know of someone who would like to donate their wedding dress, please call Joyce at 703-914-9317. The dresses will

be sold in a new micro -business project. Joyce also needs money donations for art supplies for the the art project at Sonrise.
